From January 2023, the U.S. government  was moving closer and closes to a debt limit crisis.  Democrats refused to negotiate, and Republicans insisted on a deal stocked with conservative policy priorities. However, the House passed the bill with two-thirds of Republicans supporting it. Senate is expected to follow suit over the weekend.

2023 januárja óta az amerikai kormányzat az adósságplafon-válság felé haladt. A demokraták nem akartak engedni, a republikánusok meg konzervatív politikai prioritásokkal tűzdelték tele a tervezeteket. A Képviselőház szerdán mégis jóváhagyta a javaslatot kétharmados republikánus támogatással. A Szenátus a hétvégén előreláthatólag szintén megerősíti azt.
